Suckfree Finds Great New Music and Matches

John Kuhns runs Suckfree Radio, an independently owned and operated online music media site based in Austin, Texas that provides a 24/7 Internet audio stream. He has been working with us from around the time that we launched the Song to Opportunity Matching(S2O) and has been using it since his radio format fits in well with matching songs to the tastes of the radio listeners. John wrote us to tell us about some of the artists that he has found through Music Xray:

We've gotten quite a lot of submissions from all over the world and we've been very impressed with the quality of talent that we've found on Music X-ray.

Days Before Tomorrow submitted a song named "Lighters" that was very reminiscent of the old "arena rock" bands of the 70s and 80s. We've been playing several songs from their album "The Sky Is Falling". Great stuff! Especially if you enjoy the music of bands like STYX, Triumph and Asia.

After hearing "Falling Out of Love Again" by Phil Common of New York, we asked for more and he sent us plenty of great ones such as "Crucified" and the heartfelt ballad "I Live My Life in Memory of You".

The Bloody Five submitted a song named "Just Joking" that really rocks!

Simon Fagan of Ireland submitted a song named "Water's Edge" that impressed us so much that we made his album "Outside Looking In" our Featured Album on the website. Since then we've been playing several of his songs.

Mary Sarah of Houston, TX is a teenage country singer that is going to have an amazing career. We've been playing several of her songs including "One Time Around" and "Crazy Good".

Other good country submissions that are now in regular rotation are "Only Drinking Beer" by James D. Morrison and Mickey Kelley, and "Leaving Jackson" by Josh and the Empty Pockets.
