Sorrow is better than laughter because, in spite of a sad face, the heart can be joyful.

Friendships are often forged by laughter. Someone with the same sense of humor is likely to have other similarities we value. We look forward to getting together with longtime friends to enjoy a great roar of laughter. We know each other well enough, have spent enough time together, to understand each others sense of humor. The funniest stories we share are those about ourselves and the things we've done together.

"When they came to the crowd, a man: approached Jesus and knelt before him. “Lord, have mercy on my son,” he said. “He has seizures and is suffering greatly. He often falls into the fire or into the water. I brought him to your disciples, but they could not heal him.” “O unbelieving and perverse generation,” Jesus replied, “how long shall I stay with you? How long shall I put up with you? Bring the boy here to me.” Jesus rebuked the demon, and it came out of the boy, and he was healed from that moment."

I'll keep my eyes open for miracles that may come my way, if I let them.

Miracles happen more often than we think, but we have to be open to their possibilities to experience them. Accepting the possibilities of miracles involves taking some risks. We can't find our true calling if we don't risk being rejected. We can't fall in love if we're not willing to risk being hurt. We can't make a difference in the lives of others if we're afraid to take a chance or make a sacrifice.
