When we love someone, we can become our best selves. Of course we want to be loved in return, and we want our love to last. But even when this doesn't happen, we know that we are better for having been able to love. And if we can love once, we can love again.

We spend a lot of time knocking others for what they have done wrong without offering much in the way of useful ideas ourselves. Problems need solutions. We may not have the answer, but we can at least offer ideas and support to those trying to work through their problems.

The more we learn, the more we realize how amazing is the world we live in-and how little we know about it. Some may worry that the marvelousness of the world will be diminished if they learn too much of the science that describes it. Will we still enjoy a bird's song if we know the physics and biology of it's articulation or the mating ritual it expresses? Of course. If anything, we will enjoy it more.
