Sorry Isn't That Hard To Say

http://www.theaustralian.com.au/news/breaking-news/vic-to-say-sorry-for-forced-adoptions/story-fn3dxiwe-1226451955144 I think the article says it all.

Tutto Bene

I wrote these lyrics whilst having a latte on my way to work from Flinders Street Station one cold, foggy morning last year. I dedicate it to all of those people who occasionally question their everyday existence. It's confirmation that everybody has thoughts like that, whoever they are, whatever they do.

2012

This song was born of my disgust for crappy movies about the end of the world. We decided to create a rough version last night. I hate me playing and singing at the same time...oh well :)

Darwin's Chinese and Aboriginal History

A recent trip to Darwin inspired the lyrics to my new song. I was really touched by the rich contribution the Chinese made in Darwin and equally as gutted to learn about what happened to Chinatown during and after the Japanese bombings in WW2. There were so many anecdotes and personal stories to become immersed in, but one of particular interest was of the Chinese-Australian servicemen and women who fought for Australia in that very same war. Poignant and ironic...and another good reason why we should all travel around the countries of our birth. http://www.nma.gov.au/collections/collection_interactives/harvest_of_endurance_html_version/explore_the_scroll/riverboat_trade/

The Harvest of Endurance scroll is wonderful! Beautiful and sad and poignant, just like your song.

I think it's a huge part of Australian history that most people would happily hide forever.
