"Lucky One" is such a great song... you are a master songwriter... you inspire artists, like me, to try and emulate your gift... such a touching song... well sung, played, and written... your humble student, and great fan, da boi d
Well your humble teacher is on a refreshment cousre himself, recording on a phone sets my mind free and the result is good to hear. Finally I'm getting better at playing my own songs...Love ya mate ❤️
Soon as I'm better (worst flu in decades, really scary - and I survived cancer but this is BAD) I will be back Eric. There are not many who can stand more than 1 or 2 of my songs. But they're all about Love❤️
I love anyone who loves June. She's a Godsend. Thank you so much for listening and reaching out. Sorry my songs are not easy but there are those who need them. Just visited your page and fanned. and then I saw your comment here..Love from Holland❤️
I love what you just said, cause this is not about me but about Something or Someone I love more than my song. That's why I'm lucky. If you want to explore, my close friends who can intensily play my songs tell me that they're under the impression I sing a lot about God. They're all prayers, my songs. I met more than 5.000 people on ReverbNation, I write evryone who visits me and you're the first person I tell this to. Thank you very much Dawud.
Wow, really moving songs, Harry. Dreamtime is a masterpiece! Special mention to your lyric writing: it's hard enough to write a decent song, let alone consistently give them meaningful words. A good example of this is My Street, great chords and lyrics. Fantastic work, my friend.
The other side of writing is that I find it very difficult, I am not one of those who write a lot. But sometimes, like in My Street and Dreamtime, words and melody came simultaneously and rather easily. Somehow you heard that and picked them out to like! Good choice. And I do not write to entertain people, I really want to get something off my chest when I write, so it's like I won't say much unless it really means something to me, and I hope others can relate. Here in Holland nobody listens to a word I sing, it goes straight past them, with the exception of a few dutch songs where old friends (they have been with me for more than 40 years now) play along. After the dutch ones they also dig the other songs, now they're the only ones I get together with from time to time just to play my heart out with a nice band of guys who really know what I mean. Most of my fans, the ones who took the trouble of finding me here (!) live in the Southern States of the USA and I am immensely grateful for them and proud of they like my writing too. Just in time I joined Reverbnation to get that experience, and it's what has kept me going. God bless you all!
