CROSSFIRE COLLISION (CAPE TOWN)
Crossfire Collision is a melodic punk rock band based in Cape Town, South Africa. Veteran punks, slackers, skaters and surfers, the four musicians cut and broke their teeth jamming in local acts like The Doppler Effect, LPShow, Sweet Victory and A B Turbo. They regrouped as Crossfire Collision early in 2011 and recorded five fast, sing-along tracks, published as a self-titled EP. The songs are ins
pired by fast shit like Pennywise, beautiful shit like Rise Against and local shit like stirring up a punk rock pit in a dark and grimy corner of Cape Town. During 2011 and early 2012, the band performed across the Cape Town scene and at the Rock the River New Years festival. They have attracted attention across the world, selling EPs to fans in North America, South America, Australia, the far east, Scandinavia, Europe and South Africa. The band recently featured on "The Grind" on Canada's PunkRadioCast.com and "The Danger Zone" on South Africa's Zone Radio. Crossfire Collision spent the past few months in the studio (and surfing in Indonesia) and are completing their first full length album, expected to hit the ground early in 2013.

LOWPROFILE
Biography
Lowprofile may be SA's only surviving band of their kind. In 2003 they made a stoic commitment to the search for a perfect meld of 90's skatepunk and metal that has seen them outlast their contemporaries, rivals and mentors.
Their latest album, A Vulgar Display of Powerchords, to be released on 26 May 2012, is a personal tour de force three years in the making. It further refines the band's sound, eschewing the ska and pop punk influences of 2005's Talk to Strangers and 2007's Wings! Don’t Fail Me Now for the more tightly-focused and politically charged melodic punk rock first heard on the Three Track Stinger EP (2011).
Featuring 12 brand new songs internationally produced in Finland and neatly packaged in artwork by legendary US skate artist Jimbo Phillips, A Vulgar Display of Powerchords takes a monumental step forward for both the band and SA punk in general.
In 2011 Lowprofile were selected to open for SUM41, the apex of a very productive year. To date, the band has released two official music videos, several singles, toured the country, played several major festivals and appeared in all forms of media locally and internationally.
