I can understand what you mean by bad head space. I really like the song. I usually dive into the music also to get through these particular stretches in time...peaks and valleys in life kinda make us what we are...I love the peaks only for having the low valleys. I really like your beats. I am a drummer by trade and can appreciate the feel of your song "'battered & bruised". I love the trumpet you have flowing in there and the strings make it so real as the battles and emotions we carry in life.
