Bloodstains in the Sand is a classic. I can relate to "the wire" - I was in Pakistan at an oil rig surrounded by barbwire when Desert Storm was going on. I was warned not to go beyond the wire. The poor locals, living prehistoric lives with camels and donkeys, were preached to every week that Americans were the Devil. I remember watching Pakistan TV in the viewing trailer, the newscaster said Americans had killed millions of innocent Iraqi men, women and children. Strangely on American TV later I saw only thousands of burned out, abandoned cars and not a single bloodstain in the sand.
