WAR of ROCK 2015

WAR of ROCK the Original Rock Band Competition Show that focuses on preserving rock while discovering and educating up and coming rock stars makes plans for new shows with new sponsors signed on and record label backing.. http://www.loudrelations.com/WAR-of-ROCK-Media-Alerts.htm (Dallas, TX ) - On Wednesday, March 18th War of Rock entered into an agreement with LOUD Spirit Records to be the producer of the new album from their next season. The show has also teamed up with two other marketing companies to help get funding for the tours. The breaks were tapped for the project back in 2012 after its pilot run in summer of 2011. "I was funding the War of Rock with my own money.. It is a labor of love. Besides funding issues there just wasn't enough interest in doing another "Reality based" music competition TV show at the time. All the networks I approached basically slammed the door in my face saying the famous line.. "Don't call us - we'll call you"! We were going up against the newly launched "Voice" and "X-Factor" in 2011 not to mention American Idol success. Although The Voice, Idol and others are still around even with newcomer Rising Star there's still a need to fill a void here. There is NO rock band completion on that level and that's what we are after.. Who is going to be the next Rolling Stones, Doors, Motley Crue, KISS? A lot has changed since our initial launch in late 2010.. Peoples perception and interest in ROCK has certainly changed. ROCK is no longer dead as people were saying... Actually, It was never dead. I love the quote from Jam Magazine interview with Alice Cooper..

New Rock Label Launch ( LOUD records)

Dallas, TX (March 15, 2015) MEDIA ALERT: In late 2014 Randy Jackson of Zebra visited Dallas, TX to create a song with Darren “DPaul” Wise, Songwriter/Guitarist from Ashes of Eagles a Dallas based Rock Band.. The two met at Empire Sound Studio owned by Alex Gerst ( Producer/Engineer ) with lead singer Scott Lathwood, Bassist Steven Knight and Drummer Michael Gray. The track was engineered by Alex and produced by Randy, DPaul for LOUD Spirit Records. “I grew up cruzin the lake front in New Orleans, LA listening to Zebra in my dash. At the time and in my eyes or ears rather no one on the planet was bigger rock stars then those guys. It was an Honor to be in the studio with Randy Jackson he is a pro, super talented and a super cool guy. Not only is he a rock n roll legend, he was one of my rockin’ childhood idles and early influence” – DPaul Wise, Guitarist / Songwriter Ashes of Eagles. The behind the scenes footage of “What it Feels Like” track production can be watched by clicking here: WATCH VIDEO and the full song can be heard here: LISTEN TO TRACK The band is currently back at Empire Sound Studio to finish up their album set to be released sometime this summer via LOUD Entertainment and the newly formed LOUD SPIRIT RECORDS. “I am very passionate about Rock-N-Roll and the history of it. From my upbringings in New Orleans I felt like this is where Rock started with Fats Domino and Dave Bartholomew. They inspired so many artist and so many have no idea how influential guys like that have on artist even today. Many don’t even know who they are this is why it was so important to do this project with Randy. Randy, although he would never admit it, is a living rock legend. I hope you enjoy the track, I know Randy and DPaul are very proud of it and so am I”. – Tom Stokes, CEO LOUD Media/Entertainment - Ashes to Eagles Management Team. The track will be one of the first of many new projects coming out of the LOUD Camp via its LOUD Distribution Partnerships. Stokes further stated: “ It’s no big secret there's a void that needs filling for new rock music today, and that’s the main purpose of LOUD Spirit Records… Discovering and promoting new rock talent worldwide. We mix old school rock 'n' roll philosophies with new age technology as we maintain a LOUD and enthusiastic Spirit while keeping a rocktistic freedom approach”. WAR of RAP

Getting the Hip Hop WAR of RAP Rollin

THE BIG EASY

One of the greats that brought ROCK N ROLL to New Orleans .. Dave Bartholomew. I was recently at a music studio in Dallas with a young up and coming rock band the convo turned to, as it always does when I am around, the history of ROCK. I asked the young guns that were getting ready for rehearsal “Do you know where ROCK comes from?" one said yes R&B right? I laughed and said yes right. But then I asked them to name a few great R&B artists that influenced ROCK. That’s when the deer in the head lights look came. So for me and my home town of New Orleans where Jazz may be KING but ROCK is I guess the president of the Cresent City. Dave produced Fats Domino’s hit “Blueberry Hill” BTW on this song Every Night, Every Day Fats Domino is playing the piano and Fats brother in law the great Harrison Verrett on guitar. BTW listen to the guitar boys and girls and remember this was 1954. Harrison was hanging out with a guy named Les Paul. That’s my Rock legacy for my home town THE BIG EASY. ( posted by T.Stokes )
