Thank goodness, Miss Leslie's scheduled appearance for Feb. 19th in Austin got cancelled! We booked her at Benoit's Louis Hall in Vidor, Texas...she came, they played, the place was packed...they brought the house down! OMG! If you missed it, you reeeaallly missed it! During the last 30 minutes, it was nothing but a "jammin' session". Ricky is the "Majic Man" on the steel, playing in his sock feet! When Jerry Nichols got up to play lead guitar & do vocals, with Ronnie Herrera singing back-up & David V. playing fiddle, it was one of those spontaneous, awesome, memorable, moments of watching & listening to, some of the most talented musicians EVER, feeding off of each other, & with every song, raising the bar for the next song! Miss Leslie's guys (& her) with "our" guys - unbelievable! Thank you, thank you, thank you, to Louis Hall for booking Miss Leslie. And thank you to Miss Leslie & Her Juke Jointers for coming here. Everyone had a blast! You & you're guys rock! Looking forward to the next time coming!
