Do you feel trapped ? Like when a great and mighty cat is caged in the Zoo, do you pace around on your set path? Well ? ? Do you ?
I was blessed by the sermon of an incredible man of God last night in our home Agape Faith Church, Doss Poteat.
Doss ministered on being free in Christ and how most people even though they are set free by all Jesus sacrificed for us they are still BOUND.......
He used an example of a great cat in a cage. How after many years of living in captivity the cat has been so trained by the constraints of the cage that even when you take the cage away, the cat will walk only the same path that he knows. No longer will you need the cage to contain it. The cat is confined in his actions, through his mind.
Sound familiar ?!?
We all have the chance to be set free by the blood of Christ. Once you accept Jesus Christ as YOUR PERSONAL Saviour, you are no longer bound by ANYTHING. You can now be fruitful in ALL areas of your life. But how?! Well that is a broad question for this blog entry so let me help place one foot forward at a time.
Philippians 4:6
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
When you wake up, do you worry or do you give God thanks and honor and praise for all he has done, is doing, and will do ?! Theres a huge difference. You can worry allllll day long but your getting nothing done but making yourself stressed and unhealthy. Not just that, but those around you are drug down and you may not be in the position you need to be to help them through actions and words. The PEACE OF GOD is yours to receive. You just have to reach out and grab it. Rebuke the enemy in his coming against you, praise God the father and live in FAITH that you are taken care of because he sent his only son to DIE for you and he will NEVER forsake you. Wining and moaning wont move God .... FAITH MOVES GOD!!!
Next Find yourself in God........ Do this through he word of God. Pick up your bible and study. Your in there, Jesus found himself in the Bible(Luke 4:18). Can you imagine what it feels like to discover YOURSELF in the Bible?! Well, you can. I did, and still do. His word is living and always in time and season.
Now lets get out of that cage !!!! When you place your worries on God, find yourself in Christ and LIVE in it. You are walking with God and ALL NEEDS WILL BE MET !! Overflowing and in ABUNDANCE .......
So, you found yourself in God, but you don't want to do what he has revealed to you.....it seems like a stretch, crazy place to relocate to, impossible to obtain. Well thats your choice, stay in the word and prayer because its NEVER to late, remember however, your STILL righteous in Christ Jesus's name,No matter what the father LOVES YOU, but your also still in that cage...........Let him set you free and meet all your needs!!!!!!!!

Fire
In 1 Kings we find the story of Elijah and his face off with the prophets of Baal. The battle was over who's God was the REAL God. Over the last month or so there has been a recurring thread in our prayers, our LifeGiver ministry events and in the testimonies that we have received. The common factor has been the FIRE of God.
When all was said and done, God answered Elijah with FIRE. Fire was what God sent down to burn up the offering that Elijah had laid before him. When God answered this way, not only did Elijah win the battle with the false prophets, but he won the ultimate prize, the hearts of the children of Israel.
This past Saturday night LifeGiver ministered in Greensboro, NC at Church Alive of the Triad. It was a night of Gospel, Hip Hop, Spoken work and more. At the end of the night when LifeGiver began to minister there was an electricity, a spark, in the spirit that ushered in a might move of God!
We saw marriages restored, people set free, and children turned back to the hearts of their fathers!! It was an incredible night of refreshing for all in attendance.
I Kings: 37 "Answer me, O Lord, answer me, that this people may know that You, O Lord, are God, and that You have turned their heart back again." 38 Then the fire of the Lord fell and consumed the burnt offering and the wood and the stones and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench. 39 When all the people saw it, they fell on their faces; and they said, "The Lord, He is God; the Lord, He is God."
Our prayer is, and will remain, “God, turn back the hearts of the people to you!!” We know that he will answer!!

Phew..........
The Lord has placed us together and what he has in store for us is amazing we are so blessed to all be able to worship in church, work and play together !!!!
We have now 4 performances under our belt !! Wow who would have thought in the early summer of 2010 that we would be able to go out and start a band ? Well when the Lord spoke to April we knew it was time. We were all lead to one another and have now written 12 songs !!
Pretty amazing really. We led our first worship at our home church Agape Faith in Clemmons NC, then two nights later played the Ignite event with Atlantic Skyline and Young Timothy. We also had a wonderful time in Mooresville Nc for the Velocity event where we took Jayson Barton to Minster between our sets.
Now its Oct 11th and we have just finished our show at The Inn in Salisbury. You guys gotta check that place out !!! Great sound system and chill place to go !!!
Where do we go from here ? Well The BBQ festival this month and a few other shows booked we are just getting started.....
Come on out and WORSHIP with us !!!
