New Song Coming

Writing a new ‪#‎song‬ right now, going to do the best that I can to tackle some ‪#‎HumanRights‬ issues within these bars.

It is not easy getting real within the constraints of a ‪#‎hiphop‬ joint because some much depends on people's taste when it is all said and done.

I hope that you all like it when it is complete.

Success

It took two days but thanks to my loved ones I have finally found the chorus that is perfect for my new song.

Thank you so much for all your love, support and help. 3

The Chorus

You would think that the chorus, the shortest part of the song would be the easiest to craft, but that is just not the case. Don't get me wrong, sometimes it takes hour upon hours to create the instrumentals that I rap to, and sometimes weeks to draft the verses that I lay over them. But, I swear to god, that I do not bang my head against the desk over anything quite as much as writing the hooks for my songs.

The instrumentals are what hook people in to listen to the songs in the first place, so no doubt, they have to be on point. And the verses are what ground our audiences into the song and inspire them. But it is the chorus that is always the most memorable and it is what inevitably sells the song; ironically I believe that is why it is called the "hook" because it hooks people.

So, here I am again, banging my head on the desk trying to figure out another hook for a song that is otherwise one of the freshest pieces that I have ever written.

Rappers = Nerds

This rapper goes to University of Washington, and writes about it, rappers should read it. #success http://renaissancethepoet.wordpress.com/2013/12/22/reflections-of-my-first-quarter-at-the-university-of-washington/

Turning Over A New Leaf

I am doubtful whether the enterprise that I am engaged in will be fruitful, but I am holding onto the old adage that, "if you build it then they will come." It is perhaps a sad state, but it seems to be true that nothing in this world is free and in order to make something, especially in the music industry, it requires money to make it happen. Given that premise, I am embarking on a new chapter in my musical endeavors: I have started a music company and I have become quite proficient at making instrumentals, so I am going to start leasing and selling those instrumentals to fund the rest of my companies operations, primarily making albums for you all. If you know anyone who is looking for a hot beat for their album or whatever, shoot them in my direction to have a listen to what I am doing. It may just be the case that I have what they are looking for and I have deals.

Enterprise

If you are going to build anything, you may as well start fresh and lay a new foundation. Developing a strong foundation is the first and perhaps most vital step in the protection and grow of any structure, especially a business, when in terms of weathering the future storms.

That is why I am investing every ounce of energy I have into the foundation of MusicaDiction.

The mission statement of MusicaDiction:

"To provide stimulating, provocative music entertainment; ensuring that artist have the liberty to be artist; continuing to grow by improving our education and consistently practicing; and above all to make the kind of music that we desire and deserve to hear and feel."

Back in the lab

Now that I have four tracks recorded and that is all the songs I had finished, it is back in the lab to finish writing the rest of the album.
