Next Track

On today' agenda is the recording of "Enemy, My Enemy," another pivotal, transition song on the new album.

New Song: "Dreams Are Not Meant For Me"

"Dreams Are Not Meant For Me" is definitely, hands down, the hardest track on this album so far.

Common Sense: Music #1

Times are different today and the world is much faster. The world expects products to be produced on a schedule. However, art does not abide well with deadlines. Inspiration comes at a time of its own choosing. Yet, so many artists force their work and limit its potential because the believe they need to keep up with the times. Nonetheless, a high quality product speaks volumes more than a weak, but prolific artist. Thus, I believe the art should be released when it is ready to be released and not a moment sooner, regardless of the external pressures to do so.

Strategy

The first step to overcoming any enemy, obstacle or challenge is to: Know thy Enemy. Research is a must to be victorious.

Not So Common Sense

Artists have the capacity to achieve an incredible amount of prestige and influence simply for being artists. This is especially true for Emcees. Our children look up to artists and emulate us. And although, it may be true that we did not think this would be the case, we have nonetheless, inherited a responsibility to our children.

Common Sense

Our children are our future. So, if we intend to focus on the future, then we must focus on our children.

A few words from Mr. Paris Randall A.K.A. DK Mars

"Michael Moynihan A.K.A. Renaissance the Poet and Mark Hoy told me about the good vibe about a month before it happened. I had absolutely no idea how it was going to go, or what was going to happen. All that I knew was that the monthly Cornerstone was always off the hook, and if the Good Vibe was anything like it, I wanted to be a part of it. The effect it had on me came mostly from before the event itself, but the event itself was also eye opening. I kept getting flyers from Mike, and was going around the city handing them out to people. I had been studying social dynamics prior to this, and the process of meeting people on the streets was eye opening. I got a huge understanding of how to interact with strangers, especially beautiful women. I had a phobia of approaching women randomly, but having these flyers gave me an additional reason to reach out to them. Plus who didn't want P.Y.T.s at their show? It helped me to start getting over my fears of the unknown and reach out to potential fans. As for the show itself, it was beautiful. I was mad inspired by all of these artists form the city sharing the sun with the crowd. It was so hot but oh so lovely in that crowd. Getting to perform with such warm reception was also awesome, and then afterwards I met some extremely cool people. It helped make the summer just that more pleasant for me..."
