i recently started using my comments from my fans as press items for my reverb page.... i've been noticing some of my fans doing the same... are they doing it cuz i am ... ?? don't know... just saying i've been noticing ...

collabing with dysLo outta wellington NZ. under production curently. also under production is "La LA Land" .. i've been getting alot of mail from artist wanting to collab. so here are some basic rules before you ask. first, one must have means to record vocals.. and have some basic production ability. 2nd dont' waste my time.. if i choose to collab with you, u should not take more than 3 days to get back at me with some shit. 3rd.. just cause you send me what you have recorded doesn't mean it will be used. its gotta be tight.
and right now there is a waiting list of 3 artist.. so know there is a 3-5 weeks worth of work stacking up..

As of today hip hop... where's it at?
my point of view is there 3 genres of hip hop in its conception.. road 1. is either you a kanye or eminem, snoop way.... or Drake , b.o.b. kinda ..
OR a common, tablib) (no producers in this cateory, cause some producers deserve their own category ) ...
back to topic:
if you rap i believe you fall into one of these 3 categories..
.. lets try something different. what about some hip hopera? funk/soul/melodic/lyrically conscious/house/dance/pop/modern,classic and hard rock/smooth jazz/ underground/ drum'n'bass/rhyme and reason with a graceful artistic approach, but raw.

I noticed a while back that the use of auto tune is making music sound similar, across different genres. Pop, r&b and especially HIP HOP ( so called hip hop) songs of the today. Music is starting to sound too synthetic. everyone has a good voice has to have a good voice, now a days. Too me, a good voice does not make a song... its the feel you get from the voice... the emotion it stirs, thats the secret (for all you record labels out there). Like the Biz Markie classic (just a friend). i mean it's rare to have an emcee that sings his hooks. "Rapper can'T sing, they're rappers."
First off, don't tell me what i can and cannot say. We still live in america, where supposedly allowed to have that freedom. ( note: dont get me started on america.. another blog, another day.)...
back to the topic at hand.. what about axel rose? bob dylan? anthony kedis (red hot chilly peppers)? What i'm trying to say is.. you don't necessarily need to have a good voice.. you can still rock and move people with your soul.. your character.. YOUR VOICE...
Finally , to clarify.... I'm all for harmony and right pitch, but you don't need auto tune if you do not... unless you doing something else with it besides singing the entire hook or song.... let's bring back rawness... those artist you can feel.. artist need to realize that making a pop type commercial song is not wrong if thats what you feeling.. but for money reasons? check it... cause real talk.... .. and if its truly what you love.. the "Quan" as they say will come naturally... and you'll have real fans your looking for..
