************************************************************ Brandy Davis selected a few of her favorite quotes from the OC Music Magazine performance review. Read the review and tell us your favorite.

"A large crowd of dedicated fans fills the intimate black interior of LA's Viper Room, eagerly anticipating the power pop/rock sound that characterizes Adam's Attic, the night's headliner."

"Finally, the curtains open and Adam's Attic deftly plummets into their fast paced song 'Waiting'."

"All of that band practice has paid off. Everything about Adam's Attic sounds professional; from the confident and assured stage presence of lead singer Joe Henry to the perfectly synchronized sound they produce, the group excels at making the difficult task of creating a cohesive sound seem easy."

"Adam's Attic guitarists Derek Henry and Scott Boaz strum rhythmically on their guitars, slowly building up the strength of the guitar line with a crescendo into the first lines of 'Waiting.' Joe Henry's voice cuts through, all power, as the band moves onto melodically harder stuff."

"Man, have you all been keeping up with the craziness in the Gulf?" asks front man Joe, referring to the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, right off the shores of Louisiana, and where the band originated."

"We've written a song called 'Where is Love' about our home town," Henry says.

"With an opening riff reminiscent of U2, the song starts with a sense of fragility, but progresses with more strength, aided by Henry’s steady solid voice."

"They play a short set, punctuated with fast paced, strong songs, and the band never looks tired, but rather full of energy. The night culminates in a great finale when Joe Henry asks, "Do y'all believe in a thing called love?"

"I Believe in a Thing Called Love" is pitch perfect; Henry's voice is well suited to the song and the stream of guitar waves."

"The energy persists even after the band walks offstage, their audience carrying the lingering reverb long after."

Since the KTLA competition in Feb., Adam’s Attic has come across many high exposure shows. If the band wins KIIS FM’s WANGO TANGO BREAKOUT STAR COMPETITION, we would like to use the money to finish recording our new album, to revamp our photos, website, and merchandise, and to market our music."

On Feb. 21, the power pop/rock band, Adam’s Attic, was first runner up in the KTLA Battle of the Bands competition with 955 votes – only slightly short of the winning band’s 959 votes. The band performed live on the KTLA Morning News show for a televised viewership of 3 million plus. ARTISTS COME TOGETHER 4NOLA AT THE VIPER ROOM

LOS ANGELES - Adam's Attic, an independent, internationally touring power pop/rock band who relocated to Los Angeles when their homes were damaged by Hurricane Katrina, will headline a concert on November 7, 2009, at The Viper Room to benefit St. Bernard Project. The concert is part of a year-long series of 4NOLA fundraising events, which benefit St. Bernard Project, a not-for-profit organization that rebuilds houses for individuals and families who lost their homes due to Hurricane Katrina. Also performing at the concert will be Purple Melon, Thomas' Apartment, Jenni Alpert, John Clinebell, John Zay, Letters Burning, and Willem & Dakota.

Pre-sale tickets for the benefit concert are $12.00 and can be purchased online at http://4nolabenefitconcert.eventbrite.com. Also available are tickets that include a bus ride to and from Orange County on the day of the show for $23.50. The event will also include a Silent Auction in the VIP Room featuring work by Justin Clark, Jonathan Good, Willem McCormick, and Daniel Quinonez.

The concert will feature two bands originally from New Orleans. Since their move, Adam's Attic has had the privilege to share their music in the "skylines and city lights" of Italy, Spain, Portugal, the Azores Islands, Greenland, Singapore, and Diego Garcia. The band sees this benefit concert as an opportunity to remind people about the enduring housing needs in the area and support the organization and volunteers who continually work to rebuild their hometown.

Willem & Dakota formed in New Orleans roughly ten years ago when Dakota Emerson (Michelle Gordon) joined the Willem McCormick band. After years of playing the New Orleans scene, the group was charmed by the enormously open-minded music scene and amazing weather of Southern California. The band specializes in upbeat, jangly guitar pop.

The St. Bernard Project is a grassroots nonprofit rebuilding organization whose mission is to remove barriers for families who want to return home. Liz McCartney and Zack Rosenburg founded the St. Bernard Project in March 2006 after volunteering in St. Bernard after the storm. During that time, they met many hardworking residents who were determined to move back home but lacked the financial resources to rebuild their homes. They returned to St. Bernard Parish in June 2006 and began working on their first client's home in August 2006. Since that time they have evolved into a thriving rebuilding organization that has helped over 250 families move back into their homes.

"She Says" Video and DOMESTIC ABUSE....Help spread hope!!!

Hey boys and girls! Here is our latest video recorded live at Universal City Walk in Los Angeles on Dec. 29. This song is called "She Says". This song is very personal to us because it is about how sad and scary it can be to find yourself in an abusive relationship. Several years ago, one of our aunts was murdered by her husband when she was 5 months pregnant. It is about all the feelings and emotions one goes through when trying to deal or justify their situation. ***If you are in an abusive relationship or know someone that is in an abusive relationship, please find the courage to talk to someone that may be able to help*** Thanks for your support! Peace and love, Joe www.adamsatticmusic.com http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoid=49932313
