Exclusive Rights to a custom beat (for an unsigned artist) is $500 ($800 for Indie Record Labels ) and includes Production and you have the ability to distribute the song on any format the client deems fit; The beat will be given to the client in MP3 256kbps, Wave, and tracked out onto a DVD for post editing if so desired by the client.
The beat for Non-exclusive rights is $250, plus 20$ an hour for recording and editing if desired. $30 an hour just to only for recording and editing. It takes about 2-3 hours to record and edit (more or less depending on effects and how well the client has their lyrics together). The client maintains the right to use the beat for 3 years and can use the beat for up to 2500 CDs and 2 websites for promotion.
Hardened Records maintains the right to use the finished product on an album whereas the writer/artist is entitled to 15% of royalties for album song.
