I’m doing it old school! This rescession has the whole country by the short & curlies & everytime I turn on the damn goggle box it’s nothing but War, Famine,
Injustice, Greed & Corruption on an unprecedented level & I’M FUCKING
SICK OF IT! Where is the LOVE? Physically, Mentally & Spiritually I feel
like I’m slowly being torn apart by all this but when I take a step back &
bring myself back to myself I can see clearly that it’s all just a perception,
an illusion created by evil forces who have nothing but death & doom on
their tiny evil little fucking minds!
To them I say.. “Fuck That!” ....
So it is with a relentless hunger for life, love & all things that money cannot buy that I head off on my adventure. I’m going to travel around Ireland for six weeks covering twenty towns & cities around the country. I’m going to land into a town,
get the lowdown on the place from the local folks, try organise an impromptu
gig in a local pub for that night & spend the rest of the day busking &
advertising the gig, stay overnight & next morning off to the next port of
call
I’m also going to video my adventure & make a little documentary for YouTube after the tour is finished.....
It seems to be the only way I’m going to get myself out there, the gigs just ain’t coming to me.. I can just sit here & rot or get off my butt & put myself out
there..

You will see from my poster where I plan to be over the next couple on months, if I’m in a town near you do drop by for a listen & say hello. If you know of any
good places to play or any info on any of my destinations please do let me
know. It would make things easier if I had gigs booked in advance then I could
spend more time busking & advertising the gig on the day.
Anyhoo.. this is a flexible plan at present & is open for adjustment or additions......
I’ll finish by saying that my set is a real mixed bag of everything that has influenced me over the years, Rock, Blues, Tribal, Celtic, Jazz, Chanting, Heavy, Light, it’s
all in there but my favourite part is the aul banter I have with people between
the songs, good fun!....

Long time catch up.. 2015
Equinox Greetings to you all! The sun is shining and it feels like spring in the air! Energy levels, productivity & the creative flow are also on the increase. It is the making time! :D For the past 5 years I have been working on a movie, album & book & with each passing year it just seems to grow bigger, more diverse & still doesn't get finished BUT with each passing year completion does ultimately draw closer. The when, I guess, is realistically I don't know when it's going to get finished but it will, some day. The most important thing is that I keep going. Keep on keeping on.. :D Because of this & the fact that my previous employment expired a few months ago has left me in an unsettling place BUT I have learned that ultimately in times of adversity or uncertainty options or solutions do eventually present themselves. I just have to be present enough to recognise them when they do & be willing to act upon them. As far as "making a living" out of music, or video for that matter goes, it has become apparent to me that the best way for me to make a life from my creativity, my dream, is to take it out there, on the road, doing the do, live. I have been trying to find my niche online for more than 15 years now, I have spent 20 hour days online, sleep for a few hours only to do it all over again. I have spent vast amounts of energy over the years for almost zero "monetary return" BUT that all pales into insignificance next to the experience of being alive during the birth of the internet & seeing it all evolve at such lightning speed to what it is now... priceless! It's all been a huge learning experience for me & ultimately has shown me that live gigs, live music performance with a projector, a screen & videos is the way forward for me right now.. :D With that in mind I have been developing a new live show with videos & live music & whatnot... Currently the show is made up of 12 videos including re-edits of "HummDiggiDaDa", "The Amsterdam Trip" "Sunset Serenade", "Snowcery", "Blue Moon Over Cork City" & "TIS" as well as 6 brand spanking new videos created for live performance. I plan to stage my first show during the summer, I have been working on the format for the past 2 months & I'm happy with my progress so far. I'm very excited about this, it has given my life a new direction, one I had planned for later but has presented itself now so now it is... There's not much more to say about it at this stage only as usual watch this space... Monday Monday..
It's Monday once more, time to get my arse in gear & get some work done.. It's 12 days to my gig, the 1st gig of my 1st tour. The nerves are starting to tingle when I think of it.. which is most of the time :) I have been finding it difficult to get into rehearsing since I finished the recordings last month. I'll get stuck in today. Positive attitude!!
