Heavily influenced by sound system culture, Citizen Sound is a unique fusion of dub, soul, reggae and hip-hop. On his sophomore album producer Aram Scaram teams up with some of Canada's premier singers and musicians and a few international guests to create his version of dub inspired music.
Working again with Juno nominated singer Ammoye who is featured on Addicted and Love Someone, which pairs her with UK rapper Lotek and toaster Deemas J. Tréson is also back with the politically driven Police State, and a sweet dance hall tune Sunshine Lady.
Jahdan Blakkamoore, nominated for a 2014 Grammy for his work on Snoop Lions album, and Toronto’s own Melodic bring the sound system vibes to Seasons Change. Released as a single in 2012 on Balanced Records this song received great support from radio & dj’s internationally.
Along with original works Scaram rewinds one from Version Xcursion’s catalogue, a dubbed out dance floor friendly mix of Brothers and Sisters feat. Kultcha Ites & Henri. Covering Joe Strummer & The Mescaleros, Scaram re-works Tony Adams with singer Novie on Morning Sun Dub.
Filling out the roster are a few of killer remixes. New Zealand’s Dub Terminator brings the fire to his version of Sunshine Lady. Aldubb bring a funky dub version of Addicted while Early Worm slows it down and dubs it out on Seasons Change.

Excited to announce that i'm back presenting the "Canadian Spotlight" on The Bassment Sessions radio show on CIUT 89.5 hosted by Dubmatix & Prince Blanco.
The show airs weekly on Thursday nights from 10-12 EST or on-line at www.ciut.fm. The Canadian Spotlight is a 15 minute segment airing twice monthly. The first official episode aired this past Thursday, February 13th. Artists & producers please send your submissions to music@citizensound.ca.

Citizen Sound is once again spreading the word, this time with the single Seasons Change, featuring vocalists Melodic and Jahdan Blakkamoore. The riddim blends the styles of classic reggae and hip-hop together, creating a timeless soundscape behind the vocalists’ story telling. Along with the original and instrumental versions, Seasons Change includes remixes from heavyweight dub producers Early Worm and Richie Phoe. Seasons Change is Citizen Sound's third single on Balanced Records, following up the recent release of Wa Do Dub and Trouble singles featuring Ammoye.
