Quilting

I find messy, crazy quilts more interesting. You can find a story in every piece: where it came from and how it ended up along with other pieces of memories patched together to create something beautiful. #Quilting #NellRobinson #Memories

Seeds

Nurture the seeds of #love and let it grow!

Complicated

Why can’t things be more simple…so complicated! #NellRobinson http://bit.ly/1fjLu0p

Me & Gardens

I want to be authentic. I am not a gardener. At the risk of sounding corny: Life is my garden. My garden is internal. I am not Martha Stewart. When I think about my life, I think about tending this garden. When times are tough, I may do some weeding there or cultivation of relationships that have been neglected or pay attention to the tender little plants that bring me peace. When times are good, I share the abundance that I find there and imagine the future.

I write and sing and express myself through music and metaphors and stories. I can love and value and get sustenance from gardens and natural world ..without having a showy garden myself. Ya know? I hope that my outreach to communities with partners like Burpees and Fiskars, who bring beautiful, useful products into peoples homes and lives, can seed ideas, music, gardens, volunteering, and friendships. House & Garden and Soldier Stories are both a natural outgrowth of my long history of activism, campaign and community-organizing and fundraising wed to my new life as a musician and songwriter.
