After a year of tracking for the new SO MUCH FACE album, we had a helluva time getting the digital audio files from the standalone machine to the computer editing program. Apparently, KORG had bogus CD writers in their D1600 machines. This bullshit hung us up for months as we struggled to figure out how to export the files. Finally, with a little luck, Tom located a replacement CD writer on ebay and it works! Now post-production can continue in a more expedient fashion. Phew!

It seems that a comprehensive anthology is in order for Tom Bone Jenkins. A solo acoustic approach to his material from the past 20 years is in the works. A simple, sparse, 2 hour affair of Jenkins classics will certainly be a treat for fans and new fans alike. Stay tuned.

I'm currently in the process of getting my recording studio set up. I have songs that I want to record for the first time and some I want to re-examine. I've never been hesitant to release demo versions of songs that obviously need more time to develop because usually, the songs are finished. Sometimes they're still growing but the concepts are obvious. This helps me live with some of the material for a while, which helps me make decisions before I get into a studio. Most of my songs are folk-based and can be interpreted and approached from many angles. Once my studio is set up, I plan on getting inside of the material which will, hopefully, yield some exciting results.

Don't release the demos, except to Knowles and me. We will then record them when the time is right. Soon, my good brother..................soon.
