Haven't been on here in a long time, life has been quite the whirlwind mixture of ups and downs the past couple years and I guess I've had neither the time nor the energy. Mainly ups here though, enjoying life and the things I'm lucky enough to have. This past week I got to see one of my favorite musicians, Leroy Powell playing with Shawn Lacy at Bub City and got to hang out with him after the show, as well as some of the other guys who were playing with Shawn for the night, members of Truth and Salvage Co. Some good musicians right there, a real talented bunch and some really easygoing conversation. Not often do you get the opportunity to level with these people you admire, so that will go in my book as a great night. Anyways, as for me, I have a broken finger courtesy of getting it crushed in the hinge side of a solid wood door (all on my own of course) so I won't really be playing guitar again for a little while yet. I tried today and it was in vain. Patience I guess. So that's what I'm up to. Peace.

I have my first gig next Tuesday April 3rd at SoPo Lounge & Grill, 3418 N Southport Ave Chicago, IL @ 9pm. The event is 21+ (kinda funny cause I'm not, ha). Anyways, I am super stoked to be doing this I hope it's the first of many open mic type performances that I'll be doing. I also hope that some of my buddies and close friends will be able to come and see me. I think this is the first step for me sooo rock on.
