Welcome to the January Top 20
Congratulations, you've been discovered by our mob of discriminating music fanatics. They were blown away by your song, and voted it among the best in your Channel. Your entry will be played again and again as it competes in this month's Quarter-Finals! The next stop if you're lucky is the coveted #1 spot in your Channel and after that, the $5,000 Grand Prize cash for Music and $1,000 for Video!
I hope to be sending you another congratulatory email in a few days when you make it to the Semi-Finals. If for some insane reason, you don't make it to the Top 10 this month, KEEP THE FAITH. Next month, OurStage will be offering a whole new crop of prizes for fan favourites like you.
Best of luck as you battle for first place. And may the fans be with you.

Changed over to Reaper recording software.Takes a bit of getting used to but has fantastic options and great recording quality and handles VSTs much better than Mixcraft :)

I've been playing live in bands since I was 16(A lot of years)I haven't done a lot for the past 15 years but my work for the past couple of years took me to Amsterdam in Holland and I got to play quite a lot at Musicians nights/Jam nights.
I live in a town Called Hull,East Yorkshire in England,
I've always written songs.

When I taught myself to play guitar from the age of 12(Started on Cornet/Trumpet in the school band when I was 10) the bands I was listening to on the Radio were,"Underground" at the time and I had to listen to them on,"Pirate Radio"

hiding my little AM radio from my Mother(Single parent family) and used to go to sleep with it under my pillow. The bands were Cream/Led Zep/Free/Black Sabbath etc.The normal radio stations would not play them here in the UK as they were considered anti-social and almost revolutionary.
As I didn't know any better when I learnt electric guitar I also taught myself Slide guitar and harmonica as I thought that's was lead guitar players had to do.
In my teenage/early 20s I nearly made it big,

We had our own record deal with EMI after we got on a compilation album with another up-and-coming band who went on to do a little better than us.They were called,"Iron Maiden".
My musical tastes have changed like most people's do over the years and I'm pretty open minded now.I've just got back into writing and recording at home hence the songs.
