Hey peeps. Watching Swingtown. A very grown up show. Basically it's playing like The Ice Storm, at series-length pacing. But it seems good and it has Molly Parker in it, who was so fantastic on Six Feet Under and Deadwood. The music's dead-on '70's corpse-frottage, but it dresses the scenes deftly, so it's okay. If you're gonna do it, do it right. I mean, we're watching a bunch of thirtysomethings doing The Walk on a Playboy Bunny set in slow motion. Good stuff.
