2nd London show just added: Nov. 25 at The Luminaire

We are happy to announce that CCL is going to perform 2 London shows as part of our November UK/Ireland tour.

The Nov. 18 show sold out in a matter of days. So, The Luminaire added a second date on Nov. 25.

Please get tickets soon, as this show will probably sell out as well. Go to www.theluminaire.co.uk for more info.

Reviews for CCL IV

As the release of Chatham County Line IV nears, some early reviews have trickled in.

First, we will go ahead and tell you about it. "Tell me what?", you ask. We'll tell you that Paste did not give us the greatest review ever. It's OK. (You can't make everybody happy.) So, it's out of the bag.

Moving on, Allison Stewart of a lil' rag called The Washington Post highlight CCL in her "Singles File" column. Here's what she had to say about "Birmingham Jail". - The Raleigh-based bluegrass upstarts stock this tale of the 1963 Birmingham bombing with such gut-wrenching imagery, it's like they're trying to be depressing. You won't hear a more moving song all year.

Also, The Bluegrass Blog had a very positive review of IV. Cut and paste link to read. http://www.thebluegrassblog.com/chatham-county-line-iv/

Cheers!!

Gearing up for the "IV" tour!

Unless you've been stuck in a cave this winter, you know that we have a new record coming out soon. Chatham County Line "IV" will be in stores on March 4, '08. With this comes a lot of excitement as well as a lot of work. The last few months has been all about setting up an extensive tour across the US and overseas. To say the least, we are very excited about where the road leads. We have some great CD release shows in our home state. Attendance is expected to be big at all these venues. (ie - Chapel Hill, Raleigh, Wilmington & Asheville)

Then it's off to SXSW. We took a much needed hiatus from the chaos of Austin in '07, but we are to get back in the game. From there, we head across the midwest and then to the northeast. We will be returning to some great venues as well as making our debut at many others.

One of the things we are most looking forward to is returning to some of the best summer festivals around. We will be heading back to Rockygrass, Grey Fox and Bristol's Rhythm and Roots!! These are 3 of the best festivals around. We have recommended friends and family to travel to great lengths to attend each of them.

So I'll stop blathering on. We hope to see lots of you out at shows in "08. Please tell all your friends and pick up a copy of "IV" and play it till it melts.

All the best,

The CCL boys
