Holy Shit! TIME FLEW BY!!

I can't believe that 2011 is gone, we're about 3 days away from 2012 and this has been the most amazing year for me, and for all of us. we've got to play a respectable 27 shows this year, and each one was important for us. the people we've met, the fans we've connected with, the opportunities we've been extremely fortunate to partake in, and most of all, the family we've started between 5 guys who just love to play music. the saying that a band is the disfunctional family you CHOOSE, couldn't be more correct. we've all got our issues, but we work through it, and with every argument/fight we've had, we've pulled through it and it's brought us closer. I wouldn't trade the other guys for anything in the world. As weird as it sounds, I love these guys, as brothers, as friends, as family, and i want to continue doing this for as long as we're given the opportunity on this earth. we've had an amazing year, playing some badass shows, and meeting some truly badass people, and 2012 is looking up even more than this year. we'll see you all next year, with a bigger and better show everytime we play. He meant so much to everyone, brother Dime...

I always like to think of him as the big pink beard in the sky, regardless of the shade. The point is, Dime is a legend, a true king of music. He changed my life. I never had the opportunity or the honor of meeting him, or ever seeing Pantera or Damageplan live, but it feels like I never really had to. I've always enjoyed heavier music, as far back as I can remember, but more importantly, i enjoyed people who could truly compose music. It's relatively easy to just string a couple riffs together and make a song, but to start with an idea, and rather than push it along, listen to the riff. what emotion does it set off inside you? when you compose music, it should tell You where it wants to go, not the opposite, I learned that from listening to Dime, or at least that's what i got out of it. The first time I heard "Cemetery Gates", was the day I decided I wanted to play guitar. It was such a different take on Pantera, and to this day, the song still gives me chills when i hear it come on the radio. Dime is a hero to me, not because of his prowess or his status as a guitar player, but because of what he brought to music. No one has ever done more for there genre of music than that man. He cared, not just for his style of music, but all music in general. He loved to play, and he loved to watch others play, regardless of ability. He always seemed to want to help others and bring the music community closer together, and a lot of people have lost sight of that themselves. The reasoning for this posting is to learn from it. Take a page from his book. Being in a band is more than a couple guys playing music. it's a community, it's a way of life, it's a family, it's whatever you need it to be. And, every other band out there, is a part of that, and families are there for each other. Don't become money-hungry, or selfish, or arrogant, because you have a higher status than others. Be truly grateful to your fans and your peers, everyone who supports you, after all, every band wants to share their music with the world, and you can't achieve something like that without help.

Once again, Dime meant the world to me, and when he was taken from all of us, it was a deafening blow to me, as i'm sure it was to so many others, but in his death, came an invaluable lesson. Don't take anything for granted, cherish those close to you, be true to yourself, and what you stand for, and above all, don't judge a book by it's cover. I've met some of the greatest people by playing music, and I am honored to count all of them as not only fans, but friends, and more than anything Family. Rest in peace Dime... We miss you

The years almost over, and it seems like it just started

well, this is the first post, what can we say? this year has been phenominal. almost a year ago, this band was barely an idea, and some of us didn't know we'd even be a part of it till a few months later. we felt from the beginning that we'd be able to at least put out music that we'd enjoy, that's what this is all about, but to see how many people we've been able to connect with at every show we've had, and how devout some of our fans are, and the unflinching support has been a surreal experience for all of us. We've got a couple more shows here between now, and the end of the year, including, what we believe, will be our biggest show of the year at planet rock in a couple weeks, we're also putting out our first demo, to be released that day. To all our fans, thank you from the greatest depth of all of us to you, for being patient, and being faithful, we'll see you soon
