i was just watching some videos on you tube of punk and hardcore shows from the 90's. The rivits playing a punk matinee at coney island high from 95 and a Born video with footage mostly from 97. these were small d.i.y bands who had big turnouts. people were dancing and really into it. back then is when i first got into the scene. there was alot more of an anti establishment mentality back then. ticket shows were frowned upon.. nowadays, everyone packs places where the tickets are 30 bucks but are nowhere to be seen at shows on a weekly basis. shows that are a fraction of the cost.. what the fuck?
