Hi All.
"Demons Are..."
It all seems to have gone a little quiet at the moment in regards MC. The last big blast of action was to get all for the stuff for "Demons Are..." off to the Russian Record Label "Shadowplay" for manufacture.
To the best of my knowledge the album is now in production (finally) and I am awaiting a release date for the CD from the label. Be assured that as soon as I know I will tell EVERYONE
Live gigs for MC
OK, as some of you may know, we have hardly been touring to death over the last few years, and there is a reason for this. Appart from our non MC commitments being a consideration in regards gigs etc, I have been deeply considering the whole ethos of the "tour" and the small "Gig".
As far as I can see it the "times are a changing" in regards the way that people interact with and consume thier music. Without going into a massive accademic tract on the nature of music in society etc, it is suffice to say that what people want and need from music has changed, perhaps its due to the cheap or free availibility of music and or the massive increases in the depth and quality of music that has come about due to techological leaps in what people can do in a studio, and the cheap availability of music making equipment? Who knows?
But, the upshot is that in the Gothic scene at least, people expect a lot more from a gig, and infact are not really happy just to go to a gig, they would rather go to an event!
(Again we could get into a massive accademic discussion about exactly why this is so)
So, with all of this in mind I have decided that MC is not going to do the whole "Rock N Roll" flogging yourselves around the country playing everywhere you can etc. (been there, done that and got the t shirt to prove it). Rather we are going to take a different approach from now on.
To me, a performance is an "event" and needs to be treated with the consideration an "event" deserves, and from now on we will only play a selection of events and gigs in order to preserve this ethos.
In addition to this, we have already started and will continue to work with multi media formats in order to augment the work of the band.
Even as I type, I am brewing plans and ordering equipment for the next batch of MC performances in the pipeline in August and November.
OK, there is more to tell everyone soon concerning MC, but more shall be exposed in the next progress blog!
All the best.

The Lost Tracks One Sheet
THE LOST TRACKS ONE SHEET BAND: MIDNIGHT CONFIGURATION RELEASE: THE LOST TRACKS
FORMATS: Digital Only CAT NO: NBD004 DIGITAL DISTRIBUTION: STORMING THE BASE TRACKS: 1. My Pet Monster 2. Inquisition 3. Time Again 4. Something About England (Remix) 5. Divinity Rose 6. Stranded In The Night 7. Break The Hate 8. Burning Bone This collection of songs were written and recorded between the years of "Parallel Worlds and "The Unquiet Void" and were either out takes from those years, or they were abandoned as they were not finished in time for a release, or they were started after a release had been put out.
Anyway, when Midnight Configuration stopped being an on going project in November 2011 all of the data for the band was stored on an external computer drive and wiped from the main Nightbreed Studio Mac. Shortly after, the external drive malfunctioned and all data stored was unreadable and thought lost! It was believed that all the tracks on this album and a large amount of other data was lost forever until one day, by a way of a miracle, the drive worked for just a short time. Time enough to rescue this work, to complete it and make it available to world.
Enjoy!
Sales Points The band has achieved legendary status in the post Gothic industrial underground. The band features members of top UK Gothic organisation “Nightbreed”. Very controversial band, everything they do generates interest within the scene. Big “scene” DJ servicing campaign planned. Promotional video clips will be released at the same time as the CD in order to promote this release. The band’s work is highly regarded by top movers and shakers in both the underground and mainstream music scene. Release day: 30.7.2013

Midnight Configuration Blog update Feb 2010
Midnight Configuration Blog update Feb 2010
Just a quick update as to what is happening in the world of Midnight Configuration.
Firstly, sadly it seems that the "Demons Are..."CD is not going to be coming out any time soon. This is a real shame as there are loads of great remastered MC classics on the album + some fantastic remixes and covers of MC tracks that have just been left in the can. At this point in time I am not sure what I will do with this material as I have been waiting and waiting for the Russian record company to put it out and have been also....
Secondly, working on an all new MC album as yet untitled and I can say that there are about 20 tracks in various stages of completion and I have just finished mixing two tracks even as I type this blog!! So I have a problem. Loads of tracks and not sure what to do with them all!!! Do I finish the all new album and put that out? Or do I put out the "Demons Are..." material in some way? At this point in time I am deciding what to do and would welcome some suggestions. BTW a taster of the new material can be found on the "Gothic Sounds Of Nightbreed 5" CD
In the shape of the track "Unholy Beat", also last year I put out "Something About England" on the "Mechanical Evolution" album.
Other news is after the success of the Nightbreed Alldayer in December 2009 Brian is putting on another event to tie in with the release of the "Gothic Sounds CD" namely...
This is likely to be one of very few MC shows this year, so get yourselves there.....
Thirdly, got to tell everyone that there is an all new MC interview which you can all look at, please check out this link for more details:
http://ofthetwilight.blogspot.com/ Ok, that is about it for the moment from the MC camp. All the best. T

Midnight Configuration update May 2009
Midnight Configuration update May 2009
Hi All.
Just thought I would do the neo techno musician thing and update my blog to tell you all what is happening in the world of MC.
First up, as a lot of you may already know, the Midnight Configuration collection known as "Demons Are..." is not only complete, the masters and the contract is on thier way to "Shadowplay" in Russia even as I type. Not sure of a release date for this double CD, but I think that before Autumn is a reasonable guess.
What about the album I hear you say?
Disc one is a remastered "best of", and examples of my hard remastering work can be found on my page. As far as I am concerned the tracks sound crisper, louder, etc and so I am pretty pleaseed with what I have done.
http://www.praysilence.org/profile/TrevorBamford
Disc Two is an interesting beast. It'spartly a remix CD of different bands remixing MC tracks, partly a rarities disc as I have included two previously unreleased versions of a couple of tracks. Partly a "tribute to" CD with a number of Russian bands covering MC tracks and also a multi media CD as there are two rare MC videos contained there. Namely "Devil Dance" and "Chaos Mind".
Plans for the future?
As I have mentioned before, we are gradually working on an ALL NEW MC album alongside the aformentioned release and have so far to date mixed and mastered 10 tracks! (oh yes that many!) There are another 6 tracks at differeing states of completion and I am still hoping for a before Xmas release for this as yet unamed release. For those of you who are eager to hear the new material, I have let one track escape onto the forthcomming compilation CD "Mechanical Evolution". This release being the CD put together by my students record label "SNC Recordings" at South Nottingham College. The escapee track in question is called, "Something About England". The release date for this CD. 15.6.09
OK, thats about it for the moment, the only thig else to say is that in my next blog I will discuss live performances of MC and our planned promo videos.
All the best.
