Brother can you spare a dime?

I have begun a crowd funding campaign to raise funds for my new album and promoting leading up to and after its release. Won't you please check out the site and lend a hand? Thank you for all your support! Ben http://www.rockethub.com/projects/13433-help-fund-and-promote-ben-jordan-s-new-album

slow but worth it

Hazy from sunday super bowl tequila, dim kitchen typing & wondering how I'll ever make this work. I'm not totally worried, I like not knowing exactly how things will unfold. I don't type well in the dark, glad there's spell check!!!!

Currently I am embarking on the most ambitious year of my life, booking tours (as i I AM booking the tours) on multiple continents and working on at least two records I somehow want to record and get out this year. I am not famous, I am poor, this does not come easily at all (the financing & logistics) there's no trust fund, no label and most would say no hope. FUCK THEM.

I LOVE making, recording, writing, performing & sharing music. Yes it would be nice to have backing for my dreams, NO, I will not let a little thing like lack of funding to get in my way. Background...last year I left Colorado and toured the U.S. twice over. I left with $200 in my pockets and about 15 shows booked. I stayed on the road for 7 months bringing my music to anyone who would listen.

I am pretty much broke now, but I intend to tour the U.S. at least twice and as much of Europe as I can get to before the end of the year. I have absolutely no idea how to make this happen, really, I don't. I believe it will though, and the records will get written and made. And I'll go on the road, and I'll meet you & others like you, and we'll have fun and hang out and I'll play you songs. Maybe you'll let me sleep on your floor or your couch, maybe someone you know or you yourself can give my a ride to the train station or the next town. I'll go there and do the same thing and I'll keep doing it until I run out of songs or breath in my lungs. I intend to do this until the day I die, I'm not interested in being a one hit wonder, I want these songs to be something you pass along to your best friends and children.

I realize that I have chosen the long haul, and it may be slow, but I promise it'll be worth it.
