Rooted in African, Irish, Southern Black, and White storytelling traditions, Ben Jordan is a Denver-born, UK-based independent musician weaving songs that honor the power of story to connect, uplift, and heal. Blending indie-folk songcraft, improvisational instinct, and a deep respect for musical lineage, his music is as much an offering as a performance.
Ben’s songs range from intimate ballads to high-energy foot-stompers, his solo shows part comedy, part travelogue — always a hairsbreadth from veering off-road. Known for his rare, natural rapport with audiences, he moves effortlessly between road stories, sharp humor, and moments of raw emotional resonance. Each performance is a singular event, with ever-changing setlists and interpretations.
Over the years, Ben has toured extensively through the US, UK, and Europe, sharing stages and friendships with artists including Nathaniel Rateliff, Gregory Alan Isakov, Jason Isbell, Yola, and Rhiannon Giddens. His latest works include the critically praised Dream Invisible (IRL Records) and an ambitious three-part EP series, Hymns Beneath the White Noise, featuring collaborations with members of The Night Sweats and Gregory Alan Isakov’s band.
