The Rebel Prospects / Blog

We are The Rebel Prospects and we play Rock n Roll.

Ev, Kross, Andrew & J. would like to thank The Odd Bit & Troy Arseneault for performing 2 awesome sets last night. Troy captivated us with a 2 man acoustic set and T.O.B set the roof on fire with a smorgasbord of electrified, harmonized, energized songs that put hair on our chests. Michaels, as always, for excellent sights, sounds and service. We deeply appreciate "the onlookers and innocent bystanders" for coming out on a Thursday night and giving Fri morning the finger. From all of us at TRP, thank you and we will see you all again Fri Feb 8th at Gus' Pub.

TRP Band Blog No.9 “Rock N Roll Train”

Hello all you great people, 2013 is upon us and TRP are gearing up for a busy year. A year in which our 5 song EP will debut of which was brilliantly produced by Adam Moser and Everett Powers. And I have to let you know that no one is more excited than us to finally release these songs for you all to hear. After first hearing the final cuts of the tracks it was a special feeling to bang your head and fist bang your own knee to your own tunes. And of course we will have both CD copies as well as digital downloads available for those interested. With that being said we will be having a few pre-release shows you should keep an eye out for. More importantly though, an EP release event that we want all of you to be involved with which will be more than just a one night stand. Stay tuned for details, dates and teasers. Before that though on Friday Feb 8th we will be warming up at Gus’s Pub with our friend’s Perpetual Detour for a rock filled night and Rocket Surgery. With new material in the works and travel plans, the year of 2013 will be an exciting one which we invite you all to experience along with us. We appreciate those of you who come out to see us and who have supported us along TRP’s “Rock N Roll Train” thus far. Hello all, first and fore most I want to thank all those folks who came out to support either or both shows this month. You are without a doubt the piece that keeps us rocking and wanting to be better. A big thanks go out to Little King Hunter and Chaos Theory and the awesome venue of Michael’s Bar & Grill (Thx Ashley). Another big thanks goes out to Perpetual Detour and Sunny Chances and the great Gus’s Pub for supporting local talent. It was a pleasure for us to be able to play with such great bands as well as an absolute blast each night on and off stage. Each show had a different feel and totally made the night exciting and energizing. Currently new artwork for our EP is looking super sweet and definitely puts a TRP label on the anticipated EP debut. The whole band is getting super antsy to put this music out but trust me the wait is gonna be worth it. We want these songs not only to excite ourselves but give you that feeling of “Äll I Wanna Do Is Rock”. Still hungry for the stage, we are currently in talks to make a couple of appearances in November. Hello all, hope the summer has been treating you all well. As the summer rolls on so does the rock. The Rebel Prospects and our engineer/co-producer Adam Moser have been finalizing the tracks to our album so that it will be ready to be sent for mastering. The closer this album gets to being complete the more excited the band gets to let you all hear the final product as it is sounding like a big bowl full of rock-your-face-off. TRP Band Blog No.5 "Back in Black”

Why hello all, especially you Fredericton folk. To keep you up-to-date on the latest TRP episode, the trip to Fredericton was a hell of an adventure to say the least. Going up we were just hoping the faded white “Roadblaster” made the trip, but coming home the newly painted van was looking like a lean, mean TRP machine as it drove “Back in Black”. We can’t thank you all enough that came out to see us play at The Capital. We want to show appreciation to the Midnight Ramblers who put on an awesome show, as well, thank you to The Captial for having us and we would love to come back and play again. The energy from you all at the show was great and hope all current and new fans enjoyed themselves on that hot hot summer night. I know Ev “The Birthday Boy” Powers had a good time, especially when some sweet large lady undies landed on stage; mmmm hmmm. It was awesome to see our manager Carine make the trip down along with her family and friends. As well the love was felt from the four #1 groupies who made the trek from Halifax to see what the band loves to do best; entertain and play rock n roll. Thanks to all of you that bought a beer for a stranger, regardless if you came forward to get a CD single of “Big Brother & The Man”, the important thing was that you did something good for someone else you never met before. Please continue doing “good” for one another as this is what life (and TRP) is about. Much appreciation goes out to the Lambert family for helping out with the stay, the travel to/from the show and especially the work on the van. You have no idea how much it means to us. A lot of things in the works for The Rebel Prospects and once confirmed, we will definitely share the details with you all. Until next time, be good to people, and keep Blastin’- TRP Good Ideas for today " Give a random high-five to someone you walk by”

TRP Band Blog No.4 "On The Road Again"

Yes friends, family and fans, TRP are back “On The Road Again” this weekend and making a much overdue visit to Fredericton, New Brunswick. The Rebel Prospects will have the great pleasure to open up for The Midnight Ramblers at The Capital on Saturday night @11:30PM. The band is looking forward to putting on a show and we want you to be a part of a good time had by all. A much needed thank you goes out to The Capital and The Midnight Ramblers who are providing the opportunity to rock and roll in the city of Fredericton; the home town of the one and only Andrew “Lambone” Lambert. We hope to see a crowd that is up for a foot stompin’, hand clappin’, head bobbing good time. This will be the first show of the summer for us and for those that are coming out on Saturday night we have a treat for you. For the people that come out to support The Rebel Prospects, 20 of you will potentially receive your own personal FREE sneak preview of a song from our upcoming album. You may be saying to yourself, potentially? Yes potentially! Since we believe in the “People For Good” movement, if you buy a stranger a beverage at the show, the first 20 to let us know will receive a copy of the song “Big Brother & The Man”. So come on out to the Capital Saturday night and have a good time while making a new friend. See you on the weekend Freddy Beach, be good to people, and keep Blastin’- TRP

TRP Band Blog No.3 "The Wheels Go Around Round and We All Roam Around Town"

Hi All, It's been an exciting week for The Rebel Prospects as we have acquired touring wheels. Once 'Old Bessy' is road approved, it won't be long before "The Wheels Go Around Round and We All Roam Around Town". Soon this home on wheels will be turned into a TRP plastered rockin' ship of roll (aka The Road Blaster). The band would like to give the MacDougald clan a million thanks for assisting in this opportunity. The whole band is very thrilled about this acquisition and has already spent a lot of time hanging out in the traveling headquarters. Kross and Ev have already claimed spooning buddies and rumor has it Kross has called dibs on little spoon. I'm not saying it's true, I’m just saying I saw it on the internet. As we gear up for the July 7th show at The Capital in Fredericton, we would love to hear where you would like to see The Rebel Prospects play. Send us a comment to let us know a venue in your town. It's an exciting time for TRP as plans are under way to hit the open highway. And when you see The Road Blaster passing you by this summer, don't be afraid to give a honk and a "How she goin’? “ Until next time, be good to people and keep blastin' - TRP

TRP Band Blog No.2: “All I really want to know is..”-Lenny Kravitz

Welcome back friends, family and fans of TRP. Time to fill you in on the week’s events and ways that you can get involved. This week was a barrel of laughs as usual but we also got a lot of things accomplished. The band had a great meeting with Serge Samson of Music Nova Scotia (MNS) as we discussed TRP’s future plans. Album art is in the works and is shaping up nicely as you might have seen a sample earlier in the week. In the practice studio, TRP has been working on a blast-tacular set list to keep the rock a rolln’. At practice Lambone had a smashing “Old English” reading of some distinguished TRP songs. He at his greatest leisure will be performing at the Rebecca Cohn later this year with an Edger Allan Poe hologram, haha just kidding. Speaking of performing, we will be doing a show on Saturday, July 7th at The Capital in Fredericton, NB. More details to come but circle it on your calendars as we would be thrilled to see you make the trip as it is a certain someone’s B-Day. You can get involved on the www.therebelprospects.com site by clicking the “FORUMS” link and signing up. Discussion board topics are a great way to make suggestions and be a part of the TRP alliance. Other notables are the TRP “Company Store”, coming soon with T-shirts, Hats, flags, posters and for all you lovely TRP ladies “Booty Shorts”. But “all I really want to know is” what would you like to see available? Don’t be afraid to send a comment, we want to hear from you. Well until next time, be good to people and keep blastin’ – TRP Good Ideas for today “Put money into an expired meter”

TRP Band Blog No.1: “I hear that Rock n’ Roll train a comin’”

Hello friends, family and fans of The Rebel Prospects. Welcome to the 1st edition of the TRP Band Blog. We truly believe you all are a big part of this band (the 5th member if you will) and want to keep you informed of the happenings of TRP on a weekly basis. Currently TRP are busy outlining shows for the summer as we gear up for the release of our first Album “UNKINDNESS”. Under the helm of Ligeia Productions, the pre mastered songs are full of heart, soul and Dead Ahead Rock n’ Roll. Our first single “Big Brother and The Man” is ready to be sent for mastering and should be shared with you soon. Last week we had the opportunity to hear the song “Low Down and Dirty”. On Saturday with the windows down we rolled through the streets, having “Low Down and Dirty” blastin’ from the car stereo, we sounded like a Rock n Roll locomotive. I think I saw Johnny Cash walking on Quinpool sayin’ “ I hear that Rock n’ Roll train a comin” haha, rest easy Johnny. It is a very exciting time for TRP and could tell you so much more but it will have to wait till next week. In the mean time, we would love to hear from you so please drop us a comment and check out our new web site www.therebelprospects.com.
