Idea's and Feedback

This song is in the premaster phase. I'm going to apply automation to the ES2 plug in. Experimenting with automating features like: tone, speed, or intensity. This would be done 1 min prior to the final build up before dropping the beat off the cliff. I'm thinking about automating features in sculpture, too...synth pad. Any feedback or suggestions would be awesome. Cheers mates! :)

Work Work Work

Fine tuning everything on my end and let me tell you this is a lot of work. It's worth it though! :) Everything will be ready for Download and good to go by July 10, to include all the artwork that I'm currently re-working and getting cleared.

Pow, bang, zoom! lol

New Album

I’m expecting to have all 9 songs for the new album available before the new year, but will have to make sure all the details are in order before putting them out for release. I’ve decided to change my name from Olympians Fall to just DJ Psychosix...I like it better and makes more sense since that is what I am, really. I’m only one person not a band.

I will have songs along with artwork for each up on YouTube here pretty soon, 2 which are up an running now (if all goes well) have the rest up an running soon.

Every song for this album I used a combination of Sculpture, Ultrabeat, Synthesis, and tweaked the heck out of some samples to create the sounds. None of these songs contain any Apple loops from Logic in their original form, which I’m extremely happy about. I think I’ve made it to a new level of creativity and I am excited to share it with you. I feel like, well, a machine...hence the idea behind My Machine World.

I hope you enjoy the music, sounds, and creativity I have loved working on for nearly 8 months.

-Peace!

Details

Fine tuning seems like a tedious process once everything is completed. Jus when I think something sounds right I hear it on another audio system and Grrr. I have to make another adjustment here to the bass, or there to the mid range... It's a process let me tell you. It'll be worth the wait though. I think this some of my best work to date. Very techno/house/electronic and if you luv to dance this will be for you.

On a personal note, this album was an inspiration from a friend that just passed on. He was the first person to introduce me to this genre back in the early 90's.

Find peace Chris, this ones for you!

7th Chord Inversions

Playing in F Major:

Is C7/E with the following notes: E, G, B, C consistent with V6/4 inversion?

No!

Why?

1) There is no "B" note played within a C7 chord or in any of its inversions replace with Bb. 2) A C7/E chord has the following notes: E, G, Bb, C which is in first inversion not indicated by V6/5. 3) To correct the inversion quality simply replace the 6/4 numerical value with 6/5 so that the intervals above the bass reflect 6/5/3 and is consistent with C7 in first inversion.

Is C7/E with the following notes: E, G, Bb, C consistent with V6/5 inversion?

Now it is!

Boggles the mind! :)

Yes, and the true C7 6/4 is Bb, E, G, more commonly played as a 6/4/2 chord
Bb, C, E, G (known as the 3rd inversion of the dominant seventh. The second inversion C7 dominant seventh is a 6/4/3 namely G, Bb,C, E
now getting back to the original 1st inversion C7 dominant seventh E, G,Bb, C
which is a 6/5/3
By the way (for beginners, notice there is no seventh here, no Bb) the common C 6/4 is just G, C, E. (G>E = 6, G>C = 4)

Remixes

I decided to remix 2012, The Age of Man, Time Wave 0, Evolve, and Dark Ages. I wanted to poke around with some different sounds elements, reverb, delay, and "stop n go's" as I like to call them. Interesting findings and I believe the sound quality is better. I also fooled around with remastering the rest of the songs to try and balance out the overall volume for each track. I didn't like how some of the vocals were too low in the above remixes. Having fun and playing with sound. Also, I didn't MAX out and try to make every song blast either, and kept the limiter right at -.05 db instead of 0.0. I had fun learning some new tricks of the trade.....Cheers!!!

Pics!

Got some new pics for u to check out, nothing major, just random shit! :) I figure why not share with you a little of my world, right? Whoever is reading this know that as I write I'm lifting my drink in a toast to you!

Work, Work, Work....

This whole process of getting music out across all mediums (linked and all) is quite challenging as a 1 man show, but I love it. There is nothing else better than being able to create and share with you my creations, or crustaceans if you will....LOL
