Some people will probably never get a love song written about them because of their name. You could probably make a living writing songs for these people.

The Lyrics:
You and I, we got a lot in common
Spend six days a week sorting grease in a small town diner
On the odd weeknight that we're lucid or sober
We spend hours dreaming of ways to get out,
Get rich, or famous, or laid
And when that doesn't happen we just drink, and smoke, and sigh
It's a life that's far from romantic
In a dirty apartment five blocks from where I grew up
And the guitar that's worth more than my Volvo
Only plays the chords I bothered to learn when
I thought that Nirvana was cool
Even then it does a poor job of staying in tune
We play songs in the half-finished basement
You've shared with your mom, (rent-free!) since you came home from school
And I know it'll be hard to get famous
Without any fans or friends with connections
Or people we know who write blogs
But my friend, I've got a nearly airtight plan
We'll get rich writing songs for niche markets
So they won't have choice but to listen
Songs about descendants of the first Irish judge in Texas
And for girls with names like Ruth, or Deb, or Ashli with an "i"
(What the hell were your parents thinking?)
And if not, we'll come home
Work bad jobs, drink alone
Two years older, not much worse
For wear

As of right now I'm in the middle of putting together a more "official" website for the music. Once it's set up life should be a lot easier for anyone looking to hear some tunes or watch some videos of said tunes.
I'm in the process of recording some songs for the next album, as well as a few other songs that don't have a home quite yet. I just finished the bass and drum tracks for a non-album song called "I Love You, Debbie O'Callahan". There's also some stuff in the works for next year, including a Record Club-type deal to get music out to you at a slightly more regular pace.
Happy August,
George Kaplan
