Along with other celebrities including Kevin Bacon, Kyra Sedgwick, Steven Spielberg, and Jeffrey Katzenberg, our own Bob Cashin has fallen victim to Ponzi-schemer Bernard Madoff.
On the advice of his international team of lawyers, Bob hasn't commented on the exact extent of his loss, but sources claim it could be upwards of $75 million.
Bob, best known as one of the and Guitar players from Nitrous Rockside, is not asking anyone to feel sorry for him, though he has mentioned that there's a sale at the Nitrous Rockside Online store. A return to his lucrative guitar playing, as well as other solo releases are on the horizon this year as part of his financial restructuring.
In the meantime, he will no doubt have to tour immediately with his fellow band mates in Nitrous Rockside, performing a lengthy tour of Europe. He's personally requesting that all fans attend these shows, and buy their tickets in advance.
In addition, the band will be performing a show on Saturday October 23rd at Gasthaus in Elgin. Sources have not yet confirmed if the rest of the group were also Madoff victims, but as one source bluntly states,
"Why would they feel it necessary to perform with Bob if they didn't need the money?"
