If labels are really about making money then why is there more unsigned artist that make good music then signed artist who are so inconsistant and put out once a year. I have been listening to music for aslong as i can remember and making music since I was 13, I know music and theres only so many who actually stick around because they make good music and people want to hear them. On the other hand you have labels who have a better amount of artists who are horrible compared to those who are good. So how does that make sense? A real label should love music, care about music, and go out and get there artist themselves no by from how many plays or fans that person has, I understand they want to invest in someone who has the money waiting to be made but if your music is undeniable then why wouldnt you go with that person instead of someone who has alot of plays but music isnt good. Something needs to change about that, if you labels really want to make money get off your ass and invest in a artist that makes good consistant undeniable music, thats how music should be.
