El Ka Bong is the creative outlet for 4 promising young musicians from the Finger Lakes region of New York. Since their humble beginnings at a Mexican Restaurant, the members of EKB have strove to create unique, energetic music that is accessible to everybody.
El Ka Bong has been privileged to share the stage with John Brown's Body, Gym Class Heroes, Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad, Rubblebucket Orchestra, Government Mule, Scythian, Donna the Buffalo, Umphrey's McGee, Dr Jah and the Love Prophets and the Mambo Kings.
In 2010, the band recorded the 'Con Queso' EP- a collection of old and new songs with a fresh outlook.
2011 brought a fresh start as two members from the once 6 piece band departed, opening up new horizons in an engaging Hip Hop, Dub Jam sound.
