The Old Ground was originally created by David Pitzel and Paul Rauch of the L.A based emo/punk band Still Life. Several members have come and gone over the years and currently The Old Ground is a solo effort by David Pitzel.
The sound is a vast departure from the raw distorted loudness of Still Life however the emotion and feeling are still intact. The Old Ground pulls at the heart strings with a mellow folky vibe sometimes bordering on alt-country.
The Old Ground is nothing more than a way to express life through song. To offer someone a bit of hope in a world where it is in such short supply. Or at the very least to offer something to listen to as you pass the time. Enjoy...
