Bio
The Old Ground was originaly created by David Pitzel and Paul Rauch of the L.A based emo/punk band Still Life. Several members have come and gone over the years and currently The Old Ground is a solo effort by David Pitzel.
The sound is a vast departure from the raw distorted loudness of Still Life however the emotion and feeling are still intact. The Old Ground pulls at the heart strings with a mellow folky vibe sometimes boardering on alt-country.
The Old Ground is nothing more than a way to express life through song. To offer someone a bit of hope in a world where it is in such short supply. Or at the very least to offer something to listen to as you pass the time. Enjoy...

The Old Ground just finished recording a 14 song album which is currently in the process of making it's way to the digital world. Keep and eye out and check back for more details. Check out Crashed! Newly recorded and avaiable for download. This song was writen after Still Life's equipment was stolen. Originaly intended to be a Still Life song it ends up being the first Old Ground song writen. |
