Each song is at once memorable in the same way that a Beatles song might be memorable; on first hearing, the melodies instantly sit well in the ear. The music is uplifting: sometimes sad, sometimes humorous but always unflinchingly optimistic. Dave’s style incorporates a wide range of influences without sounding like a mere collage of his favourite artists. There is Stevie Wonder, The Beatles, Funk, Jazz and maybe even a little country, but all are perfectly blended to form Dave’s distinctive musical voice.
