Penny Century was formed in Östersund, Sweden. The members met in their mid teens and decided to start a band that reflected their shared taste in music.
After a few years they were signed to Letterbox Records for their debut album "Between a Hundred Lies", released in Aug. -07. They went on tour in the UK and got a lot of attention for being a very good live act.
After moving to Stockholm and changing line-up Penny Century recorded "Valencia EP" in the summer of 2008. The EP was released on iTunes and in Thailand. They went on another UK tour in 2009 and has played a lot in Stockholm and in the rest of Sweden.
The summer of 2009 will be dedicated to writing songs for a new album that will be recorded in September.
