Micah has been an active performer in the Midwest music scenes for the last five years. His latest project, the OCD Big Band is a 4 piece indie folk ensemble that likes to explore as much musical territory as possible. You'll hear bits of jazz and funk and world music interwoven through any given set.
"So many styles it'll make your head spin. " says Jamie Lee Rake of the Shepherd Express.
His eclectic guitar work was recognized in the 2010 Shepherd Express reader poll when he was nominated for best guitarist.
“Micah Olsan incorporates so many styles into his folkiness it's enough to make one's head spin.Into his intricate acoustic guitar work he integrates classical, jazz and Latin flair to augment what might otherwise be standard coffeehouse picking and strumming. Bass, keyboards and even smidgens of random noise give Olsan a heft and depth that suggest an especially thoughtful if sometimes typically rambling jam band. His gentle tenor aptly recalls Donovan, Chris Rice and the mellower moods of Dave Matthews.”

Gareth Glyn Ash - The Way I See It
