Biography:

Fredrix…LIVEnDIRECT!

An illustrious career that withstands the test of time is what most musicians hope to achieve. Fredrix… LiIVEnDIRECT! has truly attained that goal through undeniable talent, the ability to make the guitar sing with a rich sound, a relentless approach to music and live performances that leave the audience breathless.
The early Fredrix Clark years were spent playing guitar in R&B, dance, rock and reggae bands. He would quite often steal the show with his larger than life stage presence. Playing behind his back, with his teeth, on the floor and between his legs would whip audiences into a frenzy.
Inspired to create original hard rock music, Fredrix formed his own band. Fredrix Clark and The Immigrants only performed for a few weeks before they were signed to JSR/Polygram Records and released the Got No Reasons…To Listen to You album. The band toured with Bad Brains and Vernon Reid’s Living Colour, while building buzz across the college circuit and in the U.K. market.
After a chance meeting with Daddy-O, Tommy Boy hip hop artist, Fredrix found himself immersed in the world of studio session recording. Due to his unlimited versatility, he was soon in high demand by hip hop stars, labels and producers. Fredrix has recorded with Universal, KOCH, Sony, MURDA Inc, CBS and Tommy Boy Records and a slew of indies labels and is featured on Jay-Z’s Black Album, and has toured or recorded with the likes of J Cole, Ryan Leslie, Jim Jones (DIPLOMATS), Tasha Holiday, Charles Bradley, Ja Rule and a host of other platinum and gold artists
While he found session work exciting and rewarding, Fredrix missed the allure of the stage. Determined to promote his own music, he shifted his attention to live performances. Since 2004, Fredrix has embarked on a summer tour with sixty five performances per summer, across the Tri-State Area. Venues have included: colleges (most recently a performance with J. Cole at St. John’s University), lounges, consulates, cafes, The Port Authority’s Tunes in the Terminal and even the New York City world reknown Art Expo at the Jacob Javits Center.
Fredrix looks forward to another thrilling summer tour in 2012. Look for his new album Love Songs and Other Popaganda. To experience Fredrix… Live N Direct visit, www.myspace.com/fredrixlivendirect or www.reverbnation.com/thefredrixexperience.com
