Bio: Established in 2007, the Browncoat Pub & Theatre is a non-profit performing arts organization dedicated to supporting the works of emerging artists. The Browncoat is one of the most unique and exciting performing arts venues in all of North Carolina presenting an impressive slate of ambitious and cutting‐edge productions along with other events and activities. The majority of the productions presented at the Browncoat are brand new works by emerging artists in the Southeastern United States. The Browncoat is a Nerd bar and proud of it! The first thing you see when you walk in is a giant TARDIS. Look to your left and you'll see the CIC tables from Battlestar Galactica. The Karaoke booth is a steam-punk inspired machination. Comic books, memorabilia and autographed photos from your favorite SciFi shows and films are everywhere! The Browncoat's bar features a wide variety of great craft beers from some of the best micro-breweries in the country. They also have full liquor and wine permits plus a variety of non-alcoholic beverages and concessions. The Browncoat stage is home to come truly amazing independent theater. They screen independent films and host regular film festivals as well. Other events include trivia, Magic the Gathering, Stand-Up, Sketch and Improv Comedy and of course Wilmington's Best Karaoke 7 Nights a Week!
