Bio: The Bach Dancing & Dynamite Society is non-profit presenter of live jazz, classical and world music concerts at the Douglas Beach House on Miramar Beach in Half Moon Bay, legendary for its excellent acoustics, oceanfront views, and casual approach to a quality music experience. A major contributor to the San Francisco live music scene since 1964, the Bach Society has hosted Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Dizzy Gillespie, Stan Getz, Ravi Shankar, Ray Brown, Christian McBride, the Weilerstein Trio, the Kronos and St. Petersburg Quartets, to name just a very few. According to many musicians and fans, the Douglas Beach House is “the best small venue in the U.S.” Just 40 minutes from SF and Silicon Valley, Sunday shows start at 4:30 with two one-hour sets and intermission. Doors open at 3 pm to enjoy the buffet and beverages bar, or you can bring your own bottle. Partially supported by members and contributors, all performances are open to the public
