2021 E Michigan Ave, Lansing, MI, US
Bio: If you wish to use this venue for a performance, party or other event, here are some FAQs that may help. Does The Avenue Café pay performers? No. You may sell tickets or ask a cover charge at the door if you wish. The Café asks for a small and reasonable portion of that income to cover our own operating expenses. The percentage the venue takes will be determined on a case by case basis. We work with all performers and organizers of other types of events to insure they receive what they need in revenue, which can be accomplished through tickets, cover charge, etc. Our services include help with organizing and promotion, set-up, special food requests (i.e. theme party or performance), a green room, and other amenities. Our venue can meet the needs of meetings, cd release parties, fundraisers, workshops or other events at a very competitive rate. How do I schedule a show? Contact our event planner at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 517-258-1AVE to get the process started. Please do not ask our in-house staff to discuss booking and rental policies. Do you have open mic nights? Yes, please check our page on Gone Wired Facebook for schedules as they may change. Right now it's every Monday except second Mondays which are used by Jazz Alliance meeting, but jam session at 8pm with them, and public is welcome to attend and/or join in as another form of "Open Mic!" Does The Avenue Café provide any equipment? We don’t have sound equipment yet but we have LED stage lighting that has many options. The piano can be used as well. What nights do you book live music? Currently we are booking Fridays and Saturdays. Mondays is Open Mic now. There may be exceptions made for other nights or afternoons (i.e. Sundays) for events and shows, so please ask our event planner if you have other days in mind.
