Bio: MOUNT BRANSON CHRISTIAN CHURCH We are a non-denominational group of believers, dedicated to The Great Commission, set forth in Matthew 28:18 & 19. We consider ourselves to be Christians only, not the only Christians. We are committed to reaching out to all persons regardless of race or nationality, with the gospel of salvation. We are here to serve God, our families, our community, and our country. We are your friends, neighbors, business owners, and volunteers, rich, poor, and needy. We consider ourselves a hospital for sinners, not a rest home for saints. What do we believe? We believe that Jesus Christ is the son of God that He was born of a virgin, that He lived a sin free life, as an example to mankind, and that He died on the cross, so that all men could be saved. We believe that He was resurrected on the third day, ascended to heaven, and reigns in heaven, seated at the right hand of the Father. We believe that He is our lord and master, and that he is coming back, soon to claim His church. We believe that the Holy Bible is the word of God. That it is infallible, holy, and perfect. We endeavor to speak where the bible speaks and remain silent where the bible is silent. We do not believe that the pulpit should ever be used for political purposes, or personal agendas. We believe sinners are saved by grace through faith We believe there are five steps to salvation, named in the bible 1. A sinner must hear the word of God. “Faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ”. Rom. 10:17 2. A sinner must believe (trust) in the word of God. “Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned” Mark 16:16---John 3:18. 3. A sinner must repent (turn back to God). “In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now He commands all people everywhere to repent.”Acts 17:30-Acts 2:38-Luke 13:3 4. A sinner must confess (that Jesus is the son of God). “But what about you? He asked. Who do you say I am? Simon Peter answered you are the Christ the son of the living God”. Matt. 16:15&16—Rom.10:9&10—Rom. 14:11—Philip. 2:11. 5. A sinner must be baptized (Immersed) “Peter replied, repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins”. Acts 2:38—Mark 16:16—1st Peter 3:20&21—Matt. 28:18&19. If you have any questions, please call 417-334-0449 or my cell at 417-396-6413. pastorcurry@mountbransonfamily.org May God bless and keep you.
