Bio: The Macedon Railway Hotel has opened its doors to live original music as February 2013. Our aim is to take you back to a time when Rock and Roll was king, and Saturday night meant seeing a killer live band with your mates, lots of ice cold beer and working up a sweat to some of the most exciting live music going. Saturday nights see the very best in the way of original high energy Rock, with the occasional foray into Blues, while the Sunday afternoon sessions are dedicated to acoustic music. Trains run regularly to and from Bendigo with stops at all the major stations. Last train leaves for home half hour after the last chords are still ringing in your ears.We are situated 40 minutes out of Melbourne. The Macedon Railway Hotel was a major port of call for many a touring act throughout the glory days of Pub Rock through the 1970`s and 80`s. It is that sense of excitement for live music that is the essence of the Macedon Railway Hotel as we welcome the new breed...the future icons of the Australian music scene.
