Bio: Friday Night Folk strives to bring quality folk music and performers to southeastern Connecticut. The group started in 1989 at All Souls Congregation in New London. Folk fans heard Utah Philips, Cheryl Wheeler, Bill Staines, Bill Morrissey, Vance Gilbert, Aztec Two-Step, John Gorka and Patty Larkin. After a 10 year hiatus, Friday Night Folk is back at All Souls’ new building on 19 Jay Street, which can hold 250 listeners. Recently, Friday Night Folk has featured Bill Morrissey, Bill Staines, Geoff Kaufman, Voco, John Gorka, Work o' the Weavers, Geoff Kaufman and Ida Red, The Burns Sisters and Sarah Lee Guthrie and Johnny Irion. http://fridaynightfolk.com
