Bio: The mission of El Fogon Center for the Arts is to provide artist from the NYC area and around the world (Visual Artist, Poets/Spoken Word Artist, Musicians, Actors, etc) with an attractive "home like" venue to display and sell their artwork, connect with fellow artist and members of the community. Also to provide the community with a venue to view and purchase this artwork. •to foster the creation, understanding •appreciation and enjoyment of the various forms of arts through exhibitions and education programs designed to facilitate these objectives. the purpose of El Fogon is to remind us that what really matters is not the accumulation of "stuff," but the transformational experiences that can only occur through direct engagement with an extraordinary object, a stunning performance, an inspiring film or an incredible new idea.
