Bio: The UNDERGROUND THEATRE PERMANENTLY CLOSED on March 31, 2015 The Underground Theatre at the Community Arts Café is a unique performing arts facility where artists may present a showcase of their work to the public in a relaxed, attentive listening environment. The venue was established to provide a valuable platform for performing artists who are actively developing their craft for career advancement, and who desire the opportunity to present their works, hold CD release showcases or simply perform to an attentive listening audience outside of the typical bar scene. The venue provides basic stage lighting, a grand piano and a sound system that may adequately accommodate most acts. The facility also functions as a live multi-track recording studio and is equipped with a 32 channel digital recording console specifically for artists desiring to capture the show for a complete production. Artists considering a show should be aware that the Underground Theatre is not a gigging venue, but a professional production venue. Only artists who are able to draw a substantial audience are given consideration for booking a show. Otherwise, the facility is available on a rental basis.
