Nightly Entertainment, Jazz, Blues, Classic Rock Tribute and an Open Stage nite on Tuesday with Open Mic nite on Wednesday. Come enjoy the fun. Sitting on the patio of Angelica's Bistro on a warm summer night with a cool glass of Chardonnay, it's easy to imagine you're in Europe. The atmosphere is eclectic, almost bohemian, with its Italian statues and fountains, climbing vines, Old-World lanterns — and surprisingly good continental cuisine. The aroma of meat and seafood cooking on the outdoor grill make this enchanting secret garden even more inviting. The restaurant is housed in a 1904 Victorian that survived the San Francisco earthquake. Less than two years ago, the main dining room was an antique auction house. It still features classic European paintings, china cabinets, antique tables and chairs, teacups and plates. Coming off sleepy Main Street in Redwood City, the place is transforming. There are also cabaret performances on the weekends in the main dining room, and jazz, blues and other music some nights on the patio. Indeed, the couple who started Angelica's have created an intriguing place to be. Peter Cuschieri, a Sicilian who grew up in London, designed much of the restaurant, and geared it to his European roots.
